Fran Brown

Fran is a is a Partner-In-Charge at CRI Capin Crouse Advisors, LLC & Capin Crouse, LLC, with a focus on strategic direction, organizational growth, and national representation. With over 40 years of experience, he has provided audit and management consulting services to a wide range of nonprofit organizations, including colleges and universities. Fran is actively involved in client acquisition, key board meetings, and the execution of firm-wide initiatives.

Prior to joining CapinCrouse, Fran led the New England Higher Education and Not-for-Profit Practice at Grant Thornton and served as partner-in-charge of the not-for-profit practice at CCR LLP. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, exempt-organization tax matters, real estate transactions, board training, and enterprise risk management (ERM). Known for his ability to bring people together, Fran is a collaborative leader dedicated to helping organizations achieve meaningful and competitive results.
