GASB Update

After two years of relative quiet, the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) issued three new Statements in June 2022. Join CRI Partners Yvonne Clayborne and Dean Michael Mead for the inside scoop on the new standards on financial guarantees, compensated absences, and accounting changes and error corrections, along with a discussion of subscription-based information technology arrangements, public-private/public-public partnerships, IRC Section 457 plans, and the GASB’s current standards-setting activities. We are excited by the recent addition of Dean to the CRI team, as he joins us after more than 24 years at the GASB, most recently serving as Assistant Director of Research and Technical Activities. He brings a wealth of knowledge about GASB that he’s looking forward to sharing, including the new standards becoming effective next year.
