Meredith is a Principal in the Tax Services practice. Based in Birmingham, AL, she has specialized in federal, state, and local tax consulting for the last 16 years. Meredith supports clients in various aspects of tax and transaction advisory services. Meredith has assisted companies in various industries including retail, consumer products, entertainment, manufacturing, and financial services.

Meredith serves both large- and middle-market clients with a broad range of tax issues including, but not limited to, a focus on mergers and acquisitions, entity rationalization, debt restructurings, net operating loss utilization, and tax credits and incentives. With a specialization in state and local taxation, Meredith focuses on multistate tax issues including income allocation, apportionment, state-specific tax base modifications, and revenue sourcing and attribution. Meredith possesses a deep proficiency in analyzing state tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate reporting and compliance across jurisdictions while identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies and mitigating risk.

Meredith leads the state and local tax (SALT) practice, providing strategic guidance and technical expertise across a broad range of state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, gross receipts, sales and use, and property taxes. She has developed specialized expertise in Alabama and West Virginia tax law and have established strong working relationships and contacts within the respective Departments of Revenue. These relationships, combined with my technical knowledge and experience, allow me to provide clients with practical insights into complex state tax issues and effectively navigate state-specific requirements and positions.
