A compilation engagement is the most basic attestation* service provided by CRI or any accounting and advisory firm. Our team compiles your organization’s books and records, but we do not perform any verification, including inquiry or analytics, of the financial data—thus, we do not express an opinion or conclusion on the financial statements. Assisting management in presenting the organization’s financial information in the form of financial statements is the main objective of a compilation. A compilation may be used internally and is also acceptable to some lenders and third parties.
